Recently, I came across these flawless wedding photos of Sara and Ryan courtesy of Sarah Yates photography. The wedding took place at the Ace Hotel in Palm springs, California. The wedding truly looked fabulous with that Palm Springs, Sinatra-esque vibe. Sara’s smile says it all.

Elegant wedding rings.

Just love those shoes! I’m trying to get the name.

Hello poochie. Some of the invited guests.

Great looking wedding altar. Very unique design.

Say, “I do.”

Love that expression on Sara’s face.

Such a pretty bride. I wonder where she got her birdcage veil.

ROTFL when I first saw this. No cars here. An eco-friendly bike ride. How romantic.

yates9

Adobe chic.

You can just feel the love between them. And there are those amazing shoes again! I am so jealous.

Now where were those shoes bought? I admit it. I’m a shoe freak!

How funny is that advice jar? The colors at the party were amazing.

Jumping the broom

Recently, I had the virtual pleasure of meeting Dana Broadnax of funny blog site Jumping the Broom. In her words the site features “One brides’ leap from dating to engagement and wedding planning into marriage.” How fun! A real blog with a true personal touch. Dana is now a newlywed living in the Midwest and features numerous blog posts, updated frequently, about wedding planning as well as weekly tips for all brides to be. Definitely very useful for anyone wanting the inside scoop from someone who has experienced all the pre-wedding mish-mash you have to deal with. I suggest you check out the site: http://broomjumpingbride.blogspot.com Cheers!

Not Your Ordinary Gown

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

Meet Katie Olson, a self-described wedding fanatic. She has been obsessed with weddings and anything bridal ever since her middle school days. It’s no wonder her creative passion and desire for all things bridal helped her create her own wedding blog where she can discuss “everything wedding” with other brides-to-be. But her passion wasn’t satisfied with merely blogging; enter; Gown Studio.

What a smart and simple business idea. I just love the concept of Gown Studio. How many times have you tried on a wedding dress but fell in love with only a part of the dress? I know from personal experience that I have loved the neckline of one gown, the dress of another and even the material of yet another! That’s where Gown Studio comes in. They can create meticulously designed dresses all based on your personal input. Now that’s something special and personal. Imagine taking the best of two or even three different gowns and combining them all into one ultimate wedding dress. I wish I had known about Gown Studio for my wedding. Gown Studio can take your sketches, photos and any other inspiration you have and create the ultimate wedding gown for you. Each piece is handcrafted and definitely has Gown Studio’s personal touch. YesBride loves Gown Studio for helping other brides attain a personal, uniquely created, wedding gown. As Katie says, “We’re blessed to be in the business of happy!” Way to go! Bridal Accessories With A Human Touch

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

I recently had the virtual pleasure of meeting Carissa May and viewing her incredible one of a kind, vintage inspired wedding accessories. Her attention to detail is very apparent for all that she crafts. And let me tell you, craft is the appropriate word. Nothing she sells is machine made, rather all done by hand in a meticulous manner that brings forth only the highest quality and original wedding accessories that cannot be found anywhere else.

Carissa’s passion for handcrafting these accessories comes from her living experience in London where a lot of her inspiration for her pieces came from. Her experience working with couture bridal gowns, bead working and embellishing gives her work a unique touch that is all her own. I encourage all of you to visit her page and see for yourself the unique quality veils, hairpieces as well as her intricate work with lace for yourself.
