Jewelry With A Personal Touch

April 28th, 2010

What do you get when you combine the acumen and precision of a chemical engineer with simple artisan craftsmanship? You get Peggy Li handcrafted jewelry. Jewelry designed by Peggy Li differs from most jewelry creations because she carefully designs and handcrafts each piece. This meticulous attention to detail has earned her jewelry pieces a lot of recognition. Her work has been featured in numerous movies and television shows including, Superbad, Grey’s Anatomy, Without a Trace and Buffy, the Vampire Slayer. I can’t even imagine the excitement of seeing your work featured on the big and small screen! Peggy, in keeping with the “keep it local” mantra of the day, tries to source most of her material from U.S. based manufacturers. Now that’s the right idea.

Peggy Li also generously supports several charities including Kiva and the Peninsula Humane Society. Now that’s what I call a complete business. Handcrafting unique jewelry and jewelry stands while supporting charitable organizations. Way to go Peggy! The YesBride family (me) salutes you! What do you get when you combine a visually inspired individual that is also an extremely talented baker? You get Erica O’Brien Cake Design. I recently had the virtual pleasure of chatting with Erica about her yummy and incredible looking cake creations. What I immediately sensed was her passion and dedication to her craft. And let me tell you, based on what I have seen, her cake designs are certainly crafted and not merely baked.

I guess what makes Erica different from other cake designers is that she is a visually inspired designer and works with her clients to capture the feel and flavor of the event she is preparing for. Want more proof that Erica is passionate about her cake creations? She even offers private and semi-private cake design and cake decorating classes for everyone, from passionate beginners to experienced cake artisans. Now that’s what I call having a full plate. Carol and Bryan

And now for the conclusion of Carol and Bryan’s Vietnamese wedding fusion ceremony held in California wine country. The elegance and tradition of western style ceremonies was evident in these pics. Look at the bride and groom in their elegant attire. The smile on Carol’s face says it all.

Carol and Bryan

Just love the pattern on the traditional gown worn by the bride and groom. Unique hats too. It is rare to find one wedding ceremony that encompasses two very different styles and traditions. Best wishes to you! Special thanks to WeddingNouveau http://weddingnouveau.com for these amazing shots.

Vietnamese Fusion Wedding Pt. 1

Carol and Bryan

Meet Carol and Bryan. Their truly romantic wedding in California’s wine country exemplified a fairytale ceremony most brides dream of. The wedding harmonized two cultures into one ceremony bringing out the best of Vietnamese and American culture.

Pretty flowers

The wedding consisted mostly of close friends and family and even included a Vietnamese tea ceremony. That kind of tradition is rare to find in most modern weddings. Check out the little flower girl and how cute she looks in her traditional dress with flowers in her hair.

Love the red contrast

Just love the red colors of the traditional Vietnamese ceremony. Look at the wonderful contrast to the beautiful white wedding gown and greenery of the vineyard.
