I know I just posted a video entry for my blog on Monday, but when I came across this video I just had to share it with all of you. This wedding dress, hands down, has got to be one of the most unique I have ever seen. Take a look at the video and witness a wedding dress embellished with light bulbs light up on the dance floor. Very unique indeed.

The Price Is Right Wedding Proposal

Monday, August 30th, 2010

It’s Monday once again and time for our weekly “Monday Blues Wedding Proposal.” Today we feature a video from that daytime game show we all love, The Price Is Right. During the spin of the big wheel a contestant proposes to his girlfriend right in front of a live studio audience. Adding sweetness to his proposal is the fact that his spin landed on the coveted $1 spot. Awesome! You have to tip your hat to all those brave guys out there that propose in such a grand and dramatic fashion. We have seen ladies in the past say no. Well this little video made me smile. I hope you smiled too.

Mother Of The Bride Dress

Sunday, August 29th, 2010

As excited as the bride could be for her wedding, there is also one other person who equally feels the same way – the mother of the bride. It may have been years since her wedding day, but that same intense feeling she felt way back then has suddenly sprung to life.

From the day the engagement was announced to the wedding day, the mother of the bride can be seen standing right beside her daughter trying to help in every way possible. She is as busy with the wedding details that her daughter might have missed along the way. But with all these, the mother of the bride shouldn’t forget to make her own preparations, especially on her dress.

The bride is most likely to be bringing along her mother and a couple of friends when she goes out to look for her dress. This would be a lovely time for the mother of the bride to spot those potential dresses that might look good on her for the wedding day.

Most bridal shops not only offer wedding dresses but they also have a selection of mother of the bride dresses. A mother of the bride dress doesn’t have to be a telltale of age. There are many dresses that exude style and elegance as well as creations that will accent every figure and skin color.

The mother of the bride dress should complement the dresses of the bridesmaid and the bride’s. It is a good idea to consult the daughter for her thoughts on it to give direction on what color and style the mother should be picking out when she shops for her dress. Happy shopping!

Dresses For Your Flower Girls

Saturday, August 28th, 2010

Possibly the most hassle and stress-free dress that you have to find for the wedding are the flower girl dresses. This little girl may not fully understand the concept of a wedding yet, but she knows that she has been tasked walk down the aisle, showering petals along the way, and she gets to wear a cute little dress too.

Most of the time, the flower girl dress is a miniature of the bride’s wedding dress. There are also times when it would look like the bridesmaid dresses as well. It doesn’t really have to be this way, if you don’t want to. As long as the flower girl dress still complements the wedding theme and colors, then it is all right.

When you have found and ordered your wedding dress, you should take the time to browse the flower girl dresses collection, as well. You don’t have to go and find another shop for your flower girl dress when it’s readily available at the same shop that your ordered your dress from. This will let you save a lot of time.

The flower girl dresses typically are made with the same excellent quality fabric of lace, satin, organza, taffeta, and silk as the wedding and bridesmaid dresses. They are also decorated with pretty flowers, beads, and embroidery depending on each design. Knowing that the ones who will wear these dresses are little kids, the dresses are made to be as comfortable to wear as possible. Most kids would complain of the fabric being itchy to the skin.

Picking out dresses for your flower girls is a fun and enjoyable experience. You should be open-minded on the styles and colors that are presented to you and just enjoy the process.
