Don’t Forget Your Bridal Jewelry

July 8th, 2010

The process of getting married can be stressful. From the cake to the flowers, everything must be chosen correctly to make the day of your wedding a very special day. It is also very important that both the bride and groom be involved in the decision making process. There are many things that crop up that may not have been accounted for financially, so it is important that there is open communication and that any problems that arise are addressed.

Budgeting for such an extravagant event can be daunting. But before any of that can be discussed, the bridal jewelry must be purchased. Buying an engagement ring can be a very elaborate process for the both of you, but it is important that the future bride know what the budget is in order to buy the most appropriate ring. There are many ways in which to buy an engagement ring and they can vary in price for various reasons, so a budget can be a great first step. There are traditional guidelines on how much should be spent, but depending on the needs, there are rings to fit any budget.

Once the engagement ring is purchased and received by the bride-to-be, it is time to sit down and plan the wedding. One crucial ingredient that is sometimes forgotten is the wedding bands. In most cases, an appropriate wedding band can be bought that matches the engagement ring. This makes the purchase that much easier overall. For the men, there are many styles and designs available. From titanium to yellow gold, you have a huge selection available online as well in traditional stores that sell bridal jewelry.

Once everything is place for that glorious day, you can be assured that you have chosen the appropriate bridal jewelry. You can then enjoy your precious day, hassle free with the knowledge that you will spend the rest of your life together. Amen!

Nuts & bolts

Nuts & bolts

Here is a pair of unique wedding bands I recently came across while surfing the web. You have to love the creativity and originality of this set of wedding bands. These rings are the brainchild of Kiley Granberg, an art jeweler and fine artist. Her unique style and inventiveness is very apparent with this wedding band set. The two rings can be screwed together. What better way to symbolize a commitment to one another than actually being able to join your separate wedding bands into one piece. The rings are made of brass and plated with 24k gold and offer all you brides and grooms out there a great alternative to those expensive and not earth friendly gold and diamond rings most people purchase. Wedding Ring Recovered After Fire

April 11th, 2010

A Fern Creek, KY house fire destroyed a newly engaged couples’ first home. The news was sad and tragic as the house was a total loss. Lucky for the occupants no one was injured as the would be bride was away in Cincinnati enjoying her bachelorette party while the groom to be, Brian Massey, was home tending to his dogs when a neighbor frantically alerted him to the fire. Two amazing saving graces though. First the wedding dress was not in the house during the fire as it was being altered and second, the firefighters were able to recover the couples’ wedding ring. Amazing, and kudos to all firefighters out there.

“One of the firemen brought my wedding ring to me when I was getting looked at for my burns and that was really special. I broke down ’cause I didn’t think we’d be able to save anything,” Massey said. He continued, “At the end of the day, everyone is safe. You can always replace stuff.” How true that statement is.
